Rick Blunt

Retired

Rick is from Shrewsbury, MA and graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1977. He attended the U. S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and graduated in 1981. He married Marianne Abely in 1996, in Wellesley, MA. Rick has master’s degrees from Lesley College, George Mason University, and a PhD from Walden University. Rick spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy as a Naval Flight Officer (Radar Intercept Officer) flying in F-4 Phantoms (VF-171 and VF-161) and F-14 Tomcats (VF-101 and VF-202). He also had a flying tour as a Flight Instructor with VT-10. Rick served in several leadership positions throughout his career in operational squadrons rising to the rank of Commander. He finished his career as a major staff officer at the Pentagon. After his military career, Rick spent 20+ years in the Defense Industry as a Management Consultant and Learning Strategist.
